Patrick Martin is a former editor and foreign correspondent for The Globe and Mail. As Global Affairs Writer, Patrick's primary focus was on the Middle East. He was twice posted to the region – from 1991 to 1995 and from 2008 to 2012. In between, he served as The Globe’s Foreign Editor and as Comment Editor.

Before joining The Globe and Mail in 1984, Patrick was co-host of the national CBC Radio program Sunday Morning and co-author of Contenders: The Tory Quest for Power. He has a law degree from the University of Western Ontario.
