The 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11 2024, in Paris, France.

The games will formally be opened by Emanuel Macron, the President of France, on July 26, 2024.

Marking the first time ever an Olympic opening ceremony is held outside a stadium, a parade of athletes from the competing countries will sail down the river Seine, through the heart of Paris.
